Welcome to St.Marys Leith website

CHOIR

We are glad you could come to this part of the Web site.

It was in the year 2000 that the folk group was formed
and we have been doing a lot since. We couldn't have done it without our teacher Mrs Bainbridge.
We have been entering competitions and doing harmonies and rounds and also been learning to sing in different languages.

For one of our competitions we had to sing 'Have you ever' and send the tape to S Club 7.
If you were selected you had the chance to be on the backing of their CD and we got the great news that we were chosen.
We were all really excited

The folk group meets every week at 12:30 in the school library.

 Girls Football Team

Girls love to play football just like boys do!

In St Mary's we have a girl's football team.
We train on Mondays and often play against other schools on a Thursday or Friday.

Louise in Primary 7s mum takes us for training.

We have won quite a few of our games.

We really enjoy football and it keeps us fit too!

    BOYS FOOTBALL

There is a boys football team that is taken by Mr.Riley. We train on Thursday and Friday.  Our football matches are normally a Saturday.  We have different games and competitions for different ages.  It starts at P.3 upwards.  We have lots of fun entering various competitions.

  Website Club

At the website club we think of ideas and create fun things for children to look at and try out.  We meet every 2 weeks to update our page called Kids Zone.  The website club is for Primary 5 to 7.

Peace and Justice

We discuss lots of things at peace and Justice.  We spend a lot of time thinking of ideas on how to raise money to help others especially during Lent. We play games and learn abouto fariness in the world about how money should be spread fairly around the world.  We speak to the school during service time on a Thursday to let them know about what we have been doing.

Eco Club

The eco club meets on Wednesdays after school.  The eco group went to Seafield Recycling Centre we learned a lot of facts about reduce, reuse and recycling waste.  Here are some of the facts:  78,000 tonnes of unwanted mail is sent out each year to residents in the UK and around a third of this will remain unread.

Edinburgh’s waste goes to Dunbar .

We hope we see you at our meetings.  Thanks for reading
