Our aims
School Aims
We aim to develop positive attitudes to, confidence in and enjoyment of the different challenges and aesthetic satisfaction of all areas of the curriculum through a balanced, progressive series of stimulating learning experiences based on the 5-14 guidelines. We aim to ensure that each child achieves his/her full potential and to raise attainment by constantly monitoring, assessing and re-evaluating content, context and methodology.
We aim to develop independent, responsible pupils who have positive regard for self and others, who can participate effectively and safely in society.
As a Catholic school we aim to help pupils to know love and worship God, to know and love Jesus Christ and his Gospel and to know and understand the doctrinal and moral values of the Catholic Church. We also aim to develop an appreciation of and respect for other Christian traditions and the beliefs and traditions of other World Faiths.
As a staff we are committed to working as a team to achieve the above while supporting one
another in continuing personal professional development through the sharing of expertise and
the use of external sources.
We aim to develop open professional relationships with our parents in order to work together in the best interests of all pupils.
We aim to play an active part in the community of Leith through involvement with the parish of St Marys and other community groups and by participating in local events. Back to top
